About

Michael Blanchard, Shareholder, CPA CFP®

If Michael shows up to a meeting without his Mason jar of water, ask him about it. You’ll get a laugh! He brings much more than a jarful of accounting insight to every client relationship. Life on the family farm in Dallas informs his understanding of ranch and farm accounting, a specialty.

Michael Blanchard provides tax, accounting, and consulting services to Johnson, Glaze & Co. clients. Born and raised in Dallas, he and his wife, Kristine, live on the family farm and are raising their three children—Madison, Isabella, and Gavin.

His accounting career began when he volunteered to prepare taxes while on active duty in the US Navy. Michael has received an ATA in Management from Olympic College, and a BS in Accounting from Linfield College. Areas of practice are individual and business taxation and succession planning, and other areas of management consulting.

Michael is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He volunteers his time as a director for his local school district and several other organizations dedicated to education and workforce development. Most recently, he has discovered the joys and challenges of volunteering to coach a youth soccer team.

Accounting gives me the opportunity to work with people that have an entrepreneurial mindset—people that have the creativity to see how they can do things better, and bold enough to give it a try. I love helping them to clarify their vision of the future, and then putting the right structure in place so they can concentrate on that vision.
